21/07/08 FORUM CHAOS FINALLY OVER!
Well it seems as though a decision regarding "The Official Electro 80's Forum" has been made. The original forum went down (see article below) a couple of months ago and a new one was created as a temporary measure. Loyal Electro 80's Forum members had some difficulty logging into this new forum and when the original one came back online, it seemed the best thing to do was return! So we're sorry for messing you all about, but we're back on the old one again! 02/06/08 FORUM VANISHES!
Sad news, I’m afraid. The Electro 80’s forum has been down for several days, and unfortunately shows no sign of coming back. There’s been no notification or explanation from the forum hosts (Conforums) as to what the problem actually is, so we’re presuming the worst and have set up a new forum for the time being (maybe permanently) which you can access here!
Could all of our loyal forum members please sign up to this new forum and get posting? As we’re looking pretty lonely at the minute with four members and two posts!
We’ll keep you updated regarding the old forum and listen to your opinions on the subject. Should we go back (if it ever comes back online) or stick with the new one? I’ll eventually get round to updating the forum links on the website... but everything’s embedded and it’s a bit of a nightmare to be honest!

04/02/07 Website Transitional Nightmare!
What started out as a slight modification to some of the buttons on the website, has created a nightmare for the design team. Sections of the site have been disappearing, new button designs are mixed in with the old and some links are not working correctly anymore. We are aware of this problem and working to have everything "improved" and working properly as soon as we can.
*NB* During this transitional period you may notice some inconsistencies with page design.
11/01/07 Electro 80's Forum Online!
After rigorous testing (well about a day with 5 users!) we've decided to open up the Electro 80's forum to everyone else... simply CLICK HERE and sign up, there's lots to discuss - 80's nostalgia, film, videos and music, the more people sign up, the more interesting it will become! Create your own topic to talk about in "Electro Talk" or trade your unwanted stuff in the "Tri-Coloured Swap Shop"!
10/12/06 Britannia Adelphi Hotel Incident.
Last night's gig at the Adelphi hotel was a huge success apart from a minor incident with the doormen! Red had left the venue to purchase a pack of batteries from the newsagents and found on his return that he was unable to gain entry to the hotel! After a huge "discussion" with the Gentlemen in Black, it transpired that the whole thing had been a wind up by the other band members... quite embarrassing as a few words were exchanged, many ending in "off"!
5/12/06 - Prototype E80 Merchandise Arrives!
We have just received the first batch of official Electro 80's merchandise. The prototype caps and t-shirts arrived today and are looking the business. These high quality items feature full colour embroidered logos on stylish black material - the perfect gift for Christmas. More details will be posted on the website soon, but if you can't wait that long, drop us a line and we will try our best to help.
7/11/06 – New website under construction.
As you may have realised the new Electro 80’s site is finally online, although quite a bit of the content is still in development! If certain areas are not available, please bear with us and keep revisiting the site as new content is being added daily.
5/11/06 – Increased lighting show.
I know you thought it wasn’t possible, but we’ve improved our lighting show by adding even more scanners and a new larger capacity controller! The previous show had been impressing audiences all over the country, but we decided that we wanted even more! Work should begin in the New Year to incorporate the additional visuals into the show.
15/10/06 – Electro 80’s dice with death!
After last night’s gig in Carlisle (Saturday 14th October), Electro 80’s are currently in a state of shock and pretty grateful to still be alive, after the wheel came off “Duran The Van” (The Band’s Gigging Vehicle) at 70mph! Both the Police and the guy driving the recovery truck were amazed that the van hadn’t “flipped” at such high speeds. The lucky escape can only put down to the extra weight in the back, the wet driving conditions and Blue ’s level head in a moment of sheer terror!
